How do I get started finding a photographer for my wedding, special event or photo session?
To simplify your search and get the best photographer I suggest you focus on three aspects: a photographer that offers a strong portfolio that presents the quality and style you desire, has the personality and the price that is within your budget .
What is your photographic style?
Style is always a question of importance when searching for a photographer. My personal style is that of a storyteller. Candids, photojournalistic and formals make up the wonderful collections for your wedding, special event or photo session. I love images that capture available light indoors and outdoors.
What size prints do you offer?
We offer a full range of professional archival quality prints on a variety of papers. Our smallest professional print is 4×6. Prints come mounted and unmounted up to 20×30. With Ebby’s Touch you receive images that have exceptional quality and will bring you joy for years to come.
What is your session or setting fee?

Do you photograph the wedding , special event or photo session yourself?
Yes, I am the main photographer and every wedding, special event and photo session receives my personal attention. I use an assistant at all weddings except our 1 location/2 hour package and at some special events. All assistants work under my supervision as lead photographer.
Do you require a consultation before booking?
Yes, I think a consulation is needed to develop a rapport, overview details and answer your questions. Consultations can be via phone or email. We book ‘exclusively’ meaning your wedding or special event is the only special event or wedding booked for that day. Exclusive booking allows us to accomodate any timing concerns that may arise. This does not apply to regular portrait sessions which are generally 1 hour.
Do you travel?
At this time I offer coverage in the DFW Metroplex only. Our Storyteller package includes coverage up to 75 miles from zip code 75376, all other packages include travel up to 50 miles. A 42 cents per mile fee is applicable for distances above the included miles in any package.
What type of equipment do you use?
I use Canon DSLR 400D with great Cannon EF and EF-S lenses and a 580EXII flash. This allows me the ability to capture the moments and tell your story as it happens. I have backup equipment and assistants who range from skilled photographers to snap shooters all capture with 6 MP or more equipment. I have been awarded recognition and a cash award for images captured with my Cannon Point-and-Shoot camera; I do believe equipment matters but equipment alone does not make a great photographer or great images !
Why are your prices so low?
So you noticed our very affordable pricing structure, we are able to pass savings on to you in many ways and for many reasons. First, I do not receive the majority of my income from photography; I am a semi-professional photographer that has developed my skill set from experience and self directed education as well as shadowing Master Photographers. Like everything else photography evolves and changes daily so it’s important that a phtographer on any level continue their education in their field, I do this through self directed education and particpation in ventures with Master Photographers and other experts in the field. As a semi-professional photographer I am able to pass vast savings on to my clients. I have spent years doing event photography for non-profit and charity organizations, today I continue my love for photography and am pleased to offer you exceptional images at a great price!
All businesses have overhead and we make a special effort to keep our overhead low while ensuring the highest quality. An area of speciality for me is available light location shooting which allows me to utilize our studio office in a manner conductive to keeping operating cost minimal. And you get the savings!
One cutting-edge method we use is minimizing our operating cost for media by offering you all images on your media; this generally saves $25-$50.00 and that savings is passed on to you. Use your SD or CF card and save money. How are we able to do this? Pretty packing for your digital negatives definately peeks interest and allows a form of advertisement but we’d rather pass that savings on to you and let the images do the talking. After all, they speak for themselves! Our album images are branded (bearing our logo) on the back so we release them to you in attractive yet cost effective packaging. This is applicable to your digital negatives only, all other product gets ‘pretty packaging”.
We also offer you savings with our straight forward pricing method. There are no surprises! The contract and its inclusions are written in easy to read format and our fine print is labled our “not so fine print” because of the ease of our investment structure. Traditionally the photographer held all rights to the negatives; with Ebby’s Touch your digital negatives are yours to keep and print for personal use. All packages include some ala carte prints and other professional archival prints may be ordered at any time.
